Red Telephone Boxes ( 1 for sale)

BT have given notice that they will withdraw the telephone service from the public telephone boxes in Salcott and Great Wigborough.  The Parish Council has decided to adopt both boxes for a nominal charge.

The Salcott box will remain on site as a heritage icon, unless anyone can think of a practical use for it.  The Parish Council will meet future maintenance costs of this box.

The Great Wigborough box is available for purchase by a private individual.  Bids in confidence to the Parish Council Clerk, please, by June 30^th 2010.  The conditions of sale are that the buyer meets any disconnection charges, removes the box and makes good the site at his own cost and that the box remains in private ownership within the Parish of Winstred Hundred.
