Draft minutes of the meeting of Winstred Hundred Parish Council held at St Stephen’s Church, Great Wigborough on Tuesday 8th October 2024 at 7.30pm
Present: Clare Lauwerys, Jinny Gale, Catherine Sprott, Netty Knill Jones, Phil Gladwin, Liz Davidson, Robert Davidson, Roger Pittock and City Cllr Martin Parsons

The minutes of September 2024 meeting were agreed by all and signed by the chairman
City Councillor Report: Locality Budget funds are available for suitable projects and we are grateful to be allocated £1,000 for a speed sign for Peldon. There is also S106 monies for appropriate projects. The long-awaited Salcott to Peldon Traffic Management Improvements Report following the public meeting will be chased up for some positive action. The parish council has persistently requested for the work to be carried out.
Public-Have Your Say: The verges at the Salcott crossroads are overgrown making the junction hazardous and we will ask a local farmer to assist if he can, otherwise we will have to wait for the normal cuts to be carried out by the City Council.

- Playgrounds and Playing Fields – both playgrounds and fields are in good order but following receipt of the annual inspection report there are several matters that need addressing, some sooner than others. We are getting a quotation for all the work from a company that specializes in playground equipment repairs.
- Website – no further update this month
- Replacement Jubilee Trees – having visited a good local tree nursery and discussed suitable species we are waiting for a site visit from them to take this further.
- Peldon Pump – no update and it was agreed that further work in the villages should only cover areas that the parish council is responsible for. A broken bridge on a footpath in Peldon will be reported to ECC.
