Draft minutes of the meeting of Winstred Hundred Parish Council held at St. Stephen’s Church, Great Wigborough on Tuesday 11th November 2025 at 7.30pm.
Present: Cllrs Roger Pittock, Netty Knill Jones, Jinny Gale (chair), Phil Gladwin, Clare Lauwerys, Liz Davidson
Apologies for absence: Cllrs John Abbott, Robert Davidson
The minutes of October 2025 meeting were agreed and signed by the chairman
County and City Councillor Reports: None
Public-Have Your Say: There had been a complaint about footpaths and signage at Peldon which will be looked into.
Declarations of Interest: Liz Davdison for item 3.
- Playgrounds and Playing Fields – both playgrounds and fields are in good order. Items needing minor attention are being addressed.
- Peldon Village Sign – is back in place having been refurbished and with new post. The insurance company has paid minus the excess.
- CCC Local Plan – our detailed response to the consultation was discussed, and with additions to be incorporated for improvement, will be circulated for agreement shortly. We were pleased to have received a good number of comments from the residents which have all been taken into account in our response. Residents are encouraged to send in their comments and we will share information about how to submit individual responses to CCC Local Plan Team when we have it.
- Parish Councillors’ email addresses – changing our email addresses to gov.uk domain was discussed and will be discussed further following more research.
- Virley Parish Councillor Vacancy – no applications have been received to date. We will advertise further.
- Insurance Renewal – it was agreed by all to pay the new premium of £778.39
- Actions and Reminder List – updated
