PAWS December – Christmas Meal at the Granary

More members enjoying the Christmas Meal at the Granary

On Tuesday 13th December 2016, 36 members arrived at the Granary Restaurant for the PAWS Christmas meal. There was lots of laughter and chat.  Everyone enjoyed the chance to relax and talk to other members in the festive atmosphere.  The meal was appreciated by everyone, though most were beaten by the quantity.  We all had a present from ‘Santa’s Sack’, which ranged from a Bell from Santa’s Sleigh to flying birds and jumping insects!  After coffee and mince pies it was time to go home, all agreeing that it had been a most enjoyable evening.

Next Meeting & Talk

Our next get together is on the 10th January, 2017 when our speaker will be Ian Frewer.  His subject “My life in Spain as a Journalist”.

Membership is currently full but visitors are very welcome to attend at a cost of £5.00 which includes refreshments.

Leonardo da Panto

Leonardo da Panto

It’s that time of year!

Hello All, this year the Peldon Panto moves into St Mary’s as the construction of the new hall gets underway.  An amazing challenge for the players this year as we tread boards previously untrodden in a new setting.

Come to see Leonardo da Panto in a truly authentic(ish) renaissance-style backdrop.  Written by Simon Nunan, this panto looks at the Italian renaissance, with beautiful, scheming Borgias, Machiavellian intrigue, and slap-dash artists.

Cheer for the goodies, boo at the baddies, hiss at the interval wine….

We’d love to see you there, tickets are selling out fast.

  • 25th – 27th Jan 7.30pm
  • 28th Jan 2.00pm and 7.30pm

Hope to see you all there.

Goodbye to Peldon Village Hall

Art on display when we say goodbye to Peldon Village HallGoodbye to Peldon Village Hall

Say hello to old friends and goodbye to an old hall (drink some coffee, tea, look at some art, buy a brick…)

We are sad and happy to announce the last ever coffee morning in the current Peldon Village Hall. The demolition is scheduled this year with final plans nearing agreement for the new building.

Come along on Saturday 17th September and mix with the community (we all loved it last time, didn’t we?) see some art from a local artist (Wesley Arch, image above) along with photos of the hall from its 50 amazing years!

Tell your friends, spread the word!
