PAWS August – Packing Shed Tea

There was no meeting in August but we did have an organised visit to the Packing Shed on Sunday 13th August.  At 2pm 10 members and 4 guests boarded a small launch to the Packing Shed off West Mersea pier.  It was a beautiful sunny day; we all walked around on the island admiring the view and all the wonderful birds and boats.

Then it was into the shed itself for a talk on oyster production and the refurbishment of the Packing Shed, followed by a cream tea! We were then relayed back to the mainland for about 5pm, having had a delightful afternoon. Many thanks to Bry for organising it.

Life as a Singer

Our next together will be on 26th September, in our new hall, when Emily Yarrow will entertain us with “Life as a Singer – with songs!” Membership is currently full but visitors are very welcome at a cost of £5.00 which includes refreshments.
