County Councillor Report: Council tax will be increased by 1.5% for the adult social care precept only.  The virus is still diminishing in our area but everyone must remain vigilant. Schools are open now with the necessary precautions in place. Roads and signage are being mended but with restrictions from the virus making everything take that bit longer. Blocked ditches in Peldon will be dealt with accordingly.

Public-Have Your Say: Mention of business signage on the verge will be looked into.

Declarations of Interest: None

  1. Playgrounds and Playing Fields are in good order but with grass needing cutting at Salcott and a couple of repair jobs at Peldon. New equipment for Peldon was discussed further and the company chosen for supplying was agreed. Parishioners will be asked for any comments. We are pleased to say we now have a very capable person to take over the maintenance on Moss Hay.
DOG POO BAGS ARE BEING LEFT IN HEDGES IN LODGE LANE AND MOSS HAY FOOTPATH. We would request, yet again, for people to put them in any rubbish bag or bin, nowhere else is acceptable.
  2. Ditches and flooding issues at Peldon have now been resolved to the best of our knowledge.
  3. Communication and Engagement with the residents was discussed and it was noted that Facebook is used by many and so should be looked at by councillors frequently. to take note of any troubling issues. Other ways of communication are noticeboards, website, email service and parish magazines which we do now. Councillors will provide pen portraits to help raise the profile of the council.
  4. Actions and reminder List – updated
