- Playgrounds and Playing Fields are in good order but the grass is getting long but unfortunately, is far too wet to cut at present. Thanks to our Borough Councillors’ generous Locality Budget contributions, we will be ordering benches for both fields and looking into possibly installing some adult gym equipment on Moss Hay.
- Salcott Telephone Kiosk is now up and running as a Book Box thanks to brilliant efforts from various people. It was agreed by all to pay £150 to Men’s Sheds charity to cover the cost for the shelving and a donation. A bench will be installed next to the box and again, Borough Councillor Locality Budget has been gratefully received in helping with this project. Fitting of paving slabs quotation was discussed and with a satisfactory response to a query was agreed by all.
- Bus shelters – the quotation for refurbishing the Mill Lane shelter was agreed by all. The two quotations for reroofing both Great and Little Wigborough shelters has been forwarded to our insurance company enabling claim for storm damage.
- Jubilee Celebrations mugs for young people is proving successful and we are offering adults residing in our villages plus all our Borough Councillors a chance to purchase one at cost. Design and wording have been agreed.
