Draft minutes of the meeting of Winstred Hundred Parish Council held at Peldon Church at 7.30pm on Tuesday 13th December 2016.
Present: Liz Davidson, Jinny Gale, Bob Holmes, Phil Gladwin, John Walker, Netty Knill-Jones, Robert Kean, Robert Davidson, Andrew Ellis, Zone Warden and one member of the public
Apologies for absence: Nicky Ellis, Lynne Simmons, Kevin Bentley
Minutes of the last meeting were agreed by all and signed by the chairman
Zone Warden Report: Costs to provide and empty a dog bin were given. A countrywide Litter Pick Weekend will be 3rd-5th March 2017 and it is hoped that as many as possible will volunteer for this worthwhile event. Prosecutions for fly tipping and litter being thrown from a moving car are ongoing. Some asbestos fly tipped in Great Wigborough was reported.
County Councillor Report: Included that the analysis from the second speed survey carried out on Mersea Road, Peldon was due shortly. There are several alternatives for road improvements around the A120 that are being considered.
Borough Councillor Reports: The grant received by the parish council from Colchester Borough Council has been reduced for this next financial year. New rules for refuse collection will allow for 3 black sacks purchased by the householder to be collected fortnightly. Continue reading “PC Minutes 13th December 2016”
