A meeting of Winstred Hundred Parish Council will be held at Peldon and Wigboroughs Community Hall on Tuesday 8th June 2021 at 7.30 pm to which the Councillors are summoned to attend.   All Covid-19 related rules and regulations will be adhered to.

The main hall can provide a spacious venue with good ventilation for the present situation with doors and windows left open when required.

Items for Discussion

1.  Playgrounds and Playing Fields

  • Reports on both playgrounds and fields
  • Update on grants for funding the Peldon playground project.
  • Decision required: Any new measures required with regard to Covid-19 and current government guidelines
  • Decision required: To formerly propose and agree to order a made-to-measure (original manufacturer no longer exists) net ladder for one of the multi-frames at Salcott at a cost of £655.

2.  Salcott Telephone Box

  • As agreed by majority of all Salcott and Virley residents the telephone box will be moved to the field on The Street, land owned by the parish council, to be used as an information hub and or book swap.
  • Discussion on what it will be used for, who and how it will be fitted out, who will maintain and monitor the contents, cleaning and updating, etc.
  • Decision required: Following disconnection by BT to formerly propose and agree for their contractors to move and relocate on the field which includes making good the reinstatement (including the street works permit) and install with concrete base at a cost of £1200.

3.  Meetings

  • Government ruling dictates that meetings should now be carried out face to face, with all safety measures in place with regard to the pandemic.
