Minutes of the last meeting were agreed all and signed by the chairman

Zone Warden Report: No report sent and no issues at present. The Zone Wardens are being rearranged and probably with the new title of Neighbourhood Wardens.

Borough Councillor Report: Certain car parks in town are operating free parking after 3 pm in the run-up to Christmas. Minutes of the last meeting were agreed by all and signed by the chairman

Zone Warden Report: None sent but to note the asbestos and other rubbish dumped at Pete Tye Common car park has now been removed. Also, the parish council would like to thank our many Litter Warriors who do a splendid job of keeping our villages litter-free and tidy, it makes such a difference to everyone’s surroundings.

Zone Warden Report: Nothing reported and no outstanding issues

County Councillor Report: A public meeting, with the attendance of ECC Officers and the Police, to discuss speeding is being arranged and will hopefully take place in July at the Peldon and Wigboroughs Community Hall. As Essex Highways Cabinet Member, a pavement scheme has been launched to spend extra money on repairing footways. The parish council will forward a list for repairs. Draft minutes of the meeting of Winstred Hundred Parish Council held at Salcott Village Hall at 7.30pm on Tuesday 11th September 2018

Present: Liz Davidson, Netty Knill-Jones, Clare Lauwerys, Jinny Gale, Phil Gladwin (chair), David Taylor, Wendy Ritherdon, Robert Kean

The chairman welcomed our new parish councillors who were duly co-opted onto the Parish Council and completed the Declaration of Acceptance of Office forms. The completed Register of Members’ Interests forms will be sent to CBC in due course.

The chairman expressed the parish council’s sincere sympathy to the Simmons family for their sad loss. He also spoke of all the work both Lynne and Terry have carried out for the parish council and in particular the residents of Salcott and Virley for many years.
